Timothy Atticus, a New York City-based artist, lives and works in Manhattan. Atticus graduated from Cooper Union and received the TAM prize for excellence in Fine Arts upon his graduation in 2011. Atticus is currently pursuing a Masters in Fine Arts and a Masters in Art History at SUNY Purchase in NY.
His work was first recognized nationally at The Whitney Biennial in 2008. Atticus’ recent New York solo exhibitions include, ChronoChrome at ARTIFACT and The Cross at Van der Plas Gallery. His numerous group exhibitions include:
Continual at ARTIFACT, Salon Zürcher 13th Edition of a Mini Art Fair in New York at Zürcher Gallery in New York City, NEW NEW YORK, Abstract Painting in the 21st Century at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, Timothy Atticus and Leonardo Barreto: Abstract Paintings at Van der Plas Gallery and Ren-nais-sance at Strange Loop Gallery in New York City. In October 2016, Atticus will be exhibiting at Galerie Zürcher in Paris.
