BE STILL BROTHER
Be Still Brother
John Goodman
Mixed media, digital art, resin on clay board
30 x 30 inches
2025
About the work:
Be Still Brother, young Black boy lies on his back in a
tranquil pond, embodying surrender and the solace of
stillness. In this serene moment, he breathes deeply and
let’s go, creating a profound sense of freedom as he
floats. A graceful crane, a guardian of dreams and
aspirations in African culture, rests atop his head.
Fabric lily pads are covered in resin and enhanced with an
airbrush technique, seamlessly blended with digital artistry
and hand-applied Swarovski crystals. The entire artwork is
coated in a resin finish.
