Shop Small Saturday is for us cute little businesses who rely on discerning shoppers like you, who support the independent brick and mortar stores that keep our neighborhoods thriving.
So this weekend, do the right thing and give some love to your local small business. Here are ten of our own personal favorites - check them out.
1. MAISON 10
OK, we’re going to toot our own horn here and make ourselves numero uno. We’re open every single day until Christmas Day, so stop by for some holiday cheer and pick out the perfect gift. Keep an eye on your inbox for news about some amazing events, weekend holiday markets, and always the best art and design in the city.
2. URBANA CAFE AND GALLERY
We’ve just launched Chris Marmier’s first ever solo show at our favorite city café and art gallery - go see his incredible new pieces and grab the best coffee in the city. Omar and his team have created a perfect little oasis in the middle of Chelsea.
3. FINE AND DANDY
We’ve known and shopped at this wonderful store in Hell’s Kitchen since we moved into the neighborhood back in 2014. Owners and husbands Matt and Enrique have expanded since then, offering two of the most stunning shops selling everything the man in your life could ever want.
4. PUBLIC IMAGE NYC
Tom’s gone blonde for the season, thanks to Tyler and Tim over at this wonderful little barber shop that plays great music and has a very cool vibe.
5. DEBAJO
In an area burgeoning with new and established delicious restaurants Debajo (underneath the MADE. Hotel) remains our number 1 go to. Chef Victor will make you fall in love with his amazing tapas and the atmosphere is cute, cosy and welcoming.
6. YEOHLEE
MAISON 10 is lucky to have the iconic Yeohlee as a neighbor just along the road at W29 St - and also a dear friend. She’s the OG of sustainable fashion and her basement store is an absolute delight. Pop in, say hi and check out her classic styles and new collections.
7. PARAMOUNT PARTY SUPPLIES
OK - the ssecret's out. All of those disco balls, party props and pretty much everything else that we use for our themed celebrations come from Paramount Party Supplies. Stop by to say hi to owners Jason and Mark and view their incredible collection. If you can’t find what you need, ask them - they have a catalogue thicker than the turkey you gobbled down yesterday. Don’t be fooled by the IG content - they’re just getting started - follow them to give them a wee boost.
8. ARRIVE WELLNESS
Jared and the team at Arrive have just celebrated their one-year anniversary. Congratulations on creating the most beautiful wellness and exercise facility in the area. Contact them through IG or give them a call to arrange a tour. You won’t be disappointed.
9. SURREAL SKINCARE
You already know about Henri’s glow! That’s because he’s a dude who loves a skin regime. One of his all-time favorite brands is Surreal Skincare on Christopher Street. 10. COMMUNITY WINE AND SPIRITS
They’re only two months old and already have a glowing feature in the New York Times. Our dear friend David and his team at this beautiful wine store have arrived on the scene with an almighty splash. Please visit as soon as you can, before it gets so busy you’ll hardly be able to squeeze through the door!
